PERSONAL BRANDING

A personal brand is a authentic depiction of who you are, what skills you have developed, and what value you can bring to the table. Whether you are just getting started in your business or career your personal brand should evoke a positive emotional response we people hear your name.

Your personal brand must be based on the following:
  • An honest assessment of your skills and talents
  • Strong emotional response
  • Relationship interaction
One great why you can conduct and honest assessment of yourself is by asking your colleagues, clients, friends, and family members for their thoughts. By doing so you are able to further assess your strengths and weaknesses.

"Research has shown that once people, particularly your older crowd, get an impression of a brand, the impression tends to stick. Thus, if your personal brand triggers a negative emotional response, it will be difficult to alter it. Therefore, it is important to clearly establish who you are, what you are good at, and what you like to do in order to stand above your competition.

You must stay consistent and disciplined fueling your integrity, passion and desire by embracing new developments and technology in your chosen field. Hence, so people know what to expect when dealing with you.

A great personal brand starts with believing in YOU! 

You must understand your true self...even if it means sometimes you may be criticized or rejected because you express your own values and needs. Your opinion and values will not always be the same as those of your peers, colleagues, friends or families.  As long as you are open and honest about your true self you will know what you excel at and what weaknesses needs to be fine tuned.
